What is FlightAbove Connect?

Your screen.
FlightAbove's brain.

FlightAbove Connect is a compact Raspberry Pi Zero 2 H with FlightAbove pre-installed and fully configured. Plug the HDMI cable into any screen you already own — a spare monitor, a TV, a large format display — and it runs the full FlightAbove experience.

Same live ADS-B aircraft data. Same customisable bays. Same FlightLog. Just on the screen that already sits in your room, rather than a dedicated display.

Questions

Frequently asked

Any screen with an HDMI input. That includes PC monitors, flat-screen TVs, smart TVs, and most external displays. Connect ships with a mini HDMI to full-size HDMI adapter. You just need to provide your own HDMI cable if the adapter is not long enough.
No. FlightAbove is pre-installed on the MicroSD card. You just plug in, connect to WiFi via the app or setup card, and it runs. There is nothing to download or configure manually.
No. FlightAbove Connect is a one-time purchase. All aircraft data, OTA updates, and app features are included with no ongoing subscription.
Connect is a physical device — a pre-configured Raspberry Pi Zero 2 H — that you plug directly into your screen. FlightAbove Cloud is a browser-based subscription service you run on your own Raspberry Pi or similar hardware. Connect is the plug-and-play option; Cloud is for people who want to manage their own hardware completely.
Connect outputs via mini HDMI at up to 1080p. It will work with a 4K screen scaled to 1080p, though the display will be upscaled. For native 4K output, it is not supported on this hardware generation.
Yes. Display rotation is configurable via the FlightAbove app, so you can mount the screen vertically or at an angle and adjust the layout to match.
FlightAbove Connect caches the last known aircraft data and continues displaying it. When WiFi reconnects, it resumes live tracking automatically. No manual restart needed.
